Motivated by his profound love for every Jew and spurred by his boundless optimism and self-sacrifice, the Lubavitcher Rebbe OBM set into motion a dazzling array of programs to support the welfare of the Jewish people worldwide. In 1991, as part of his efforts, the Lubavitcher Rebbe OBM sent Rabbi Shlomo and Mrs. Miriam Bentolila OBM and their family to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (formally Zaire) to establish a Chabad-Lubavitch of Central Africa to reach out to every Jew and support the many Jewish communities in all aspects of Jewish life.

Through a wide range of programs, activities, and events, we strive to enrich Jewish life in Zambia. Our mission is to create a deep sense of community and home away from home for all Jews throughout the country.
We provide weekly Shabbat and Holiday services, kosher Shabbat meals for locals, tourists, and visiting businessmen; programs for children and teens of all ages, adult education, and more.
